Hello Bears,

No assignments this week.  Grades will be finished tomorrow, Wednesday, at 3:00.  If you want to submit any missing assignment I need it in an email by tomorrow at 3:00.  Chromebook collection is Thursday.  Bummer way to end the year, but we are safe and will be ready for school in August.  I can't wait to see you on campus!!

Hello Bears!!

I have pushed out a video for you to watch and respond to.  I approved it for you to view.  If you can't see it through youtube then go to the NOAA website and search for it there.  Follow the instructions in google classroom and submit your summary attached to the assignment. 

I hope you all are doing well.  Make sure you watch the daily announcements so you will know when to drop off your books and chromebook at school.

I hope you are all safe and keeping busy.  Hopefully some of these restrictions will be lifted soon and we can start doing some things other than staying home. 
You all did a great job with the activities on the grids.  They are set up to be six weeks of assignments. So your assignment this week is to choose two more from each of the grids.  The same assignment as last week but choose four different boxes. So do 4 activities of your choice.

Hi Bears!!

I hope you are all doing well.  I am home and doing some projects.  I planted a garden!  I am cooking and organizing stuff around the house. My son works on the farm a lot.  I have six new baby kitties that were born on Easter. They are fun to hold.

I really miss being at school. I miss talking to you.  So maybe you could add comments to this blog and tell me how you are doing?? Or you can email me. 😃 
Your weekly work is in Google classroom. Last week some of you had trouble viewing the videos. If that happens this week try on a different device (if you have) one or pick a different activity. This is meant for you to have fun at home doing sciency stuff. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!!

I have pushed out your weekly work in Google classroom. Two things to work on this week. Read the instructions.  Have fun with the Plastic activities.  You can click on the gyre map and interact with it.  Next week is Spring Break. I sure miss you all.

Many of you have emailed me that the edpuzzle isn't working so lets forget about it.  No worries!!  Go to Newsela and find an article that interests you. Attach a screenshot when you finish. 

These assignments are not intended to stress you out.  Try your best,  keep busy, have fun.  If you find something cool out there send me the link.  

If you haven't already I think you should keep a journal. Write in it everyday.  When this is all over you will have a book about this time in you life.  This virus and stay at home time will be something that will be in the history books.  You can write your own book!!

There are announcements for you to watch in Google Classroom and a daily challenge!

Today I put a video in Google classroom for you to watch.  It is long. Watch it over two days.  Find a quiet place to watch it. It take us back 4.6 billion years to the beginning of Earth.  This will show you what Scientists think the Earth's history is.  This is NOT what everyone believes. This is just a theory. Discuss with your family about how you believe the Earth was made.

Here is an update with how things will work while we are away from school.  Please share this with your parents so the know what is going on with Science!

1. I will post on the Blog and Google Classroom on Mondays with things for you to do throughout the week.  On Fridays I want you to submit a google doc attached to the Google Classroom assignment with screenshots or other evidence that you completed the weekly assignments. Do not email or share them with me.  I want them submitted with the assignment in google classroom.

2. There will not be make-up school in June or July. 

3. Our current work through TCI is on pause. We will finish it if and when we come back to school. 

4.  There will be no work assigned during Spring Break.

5. Morning announcements will still be posted everyday.

6. There will be a first blog tomorrow  3-19-20.  Then it will be Mondays after that. 

With this being said, everything is changing very quickly and if I have changes for you I will send them out through the BLOG.

Good Morning Bears.  

Today we are researching the different periods in Geologic  time.  Please choose two of these periods to research.  I will post the assignment in Google classroom for those of you who are home.  If you are at school you will do the assignment in class.

Today in class we read the readings 1,2,3,4 that go with lesson 9, "Reconstructing Earth's History.  Then  we completed pages 136-139 in the workbook.  

Starting today all work will be pushed out through this BLOG and Google classroom.
